My older daughter has a blog about her family. My younger daughter is going to start a blog about her craft projects. And so I was inspired to start my own. But what would I write about? I have a few friends who have encouraged me to write restaurant reviews, and though I love to eat, have strong opinions, and can write reasonably well, I do not feel qualified to write about the quality of some Spanish tapas which I have never had before nor heard of. I do, however, feel qualified to judge pie. I love all pies but fruit pies are my favorite.
So, my plans are to come up with specific categories for judging each pie: crust (with subcategories), the filling, mouth feel, aesthetics, and overall. These ideas make up my initial thinking, and so until I have those refined, I will simply write about pie experiences.
I welcome suggestions for my blog and even better, suggestions for pies to try. I have recently lost 40 pounds, so I will need to have infrequent posts or else I will balloon back up...and I don't want to go there.
